Tiernan Evans is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Economics at EIT. In her role, she studies the predictors of health and aging, drawing on novel datasets to explore how these outcomes evolve over time.
Prior to joining EIT Oxford, Tiernan conducted research at the Centre for Economic Performance, where she remains an associate, and the Institute for Fiscal Studies, working on projects relating to human capital accumulation and social insurance. She holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she also completed her MRes and MSc in Economics. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, Tiernan worked as an actuary at Willis Towers Watson and completed a BS at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, primarily hiking and playing softball.
