Miriam Malament is a Predoctoral Research Fellow in Economics at the EIT. Her research focuses on how improvements in health and longevity shape economic behaviour, productivity, and fiscal sustainability, strengthening the case for investing in prevention and well-being.
Before joining EIT, Miriam was a Research Fellow at Yale University, where she studied how institutional design and incentives influence policy outcomes in Latin America. She has collaborated with researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Chicago, and the University of California, Berkeley, as well as with international organisations such as the World Bank, on projects applying economic analysis to inform evidence-based policy.
Miriam holds a Master鈥檚 degree in Economics from Universidad de San Andr茅s and a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Economics from Universidad del CEMA, graduating with distinction and receiving multiple scholarships for academic excellence.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, walking through Oxford, and discovering new coffee spots.
