George de Fraine is the Biobank Manager at EIT and is leading the development of biobanking operations across the Oxford campus. He is responsible for establishing the infrastructure, processes, and long-term strategies that will support high-quality sample management and research excellence. George鈥檚 work focuses on building a biobank that ensures integrity, accessibility, and scalability for current and future 91国产 91国产.
With a background in biobanking, sample procurement, and operational development, George is committed to implementing robust sample management strategies throughout the campus. His approach emphasises consistency, traceability, regulatory alignment, and strong cross-team communication. He is driven by the challenge of designing systems that empower researchers, streamline workflows, and underpin rigorous, reproducible science.
Outside of work, George never misses a chance to head for the mountains, if there鈥檚 powder, he鈥檒l be the first to chase it. He also values time spent with friends, appreciating the chance to unwind and connect socially.
