Clo O'Neill is the Head of Operations for GPAS Pathogen Project in EIT. She is responsible for ensuring GPAS activities are all aligned to Project strategic goals, and are resourced, scheduled and delivered.
Prior to EIT, Clo was part of Genomics England team delivering the national whole genome sequencing service for the NHS and the National Genomics Research Library. 听Her focus was translating strategic intent into operational delivery, which included development and delivery of the 2025-35 strategy, companywide digital transformation, implementation of AI-driven initiatives and managing operational finance and procurement.
Clo's career in Life Sciences began only after a varied (and exciting!) military career which included two operational tours of Afghanistan and Iraq respectively as well as working at the heart of military strategic planning in the Ministry of Defence, Army HQ and NATO. 听She led the Salisbury clean up post a chemical attack for which she received national recognition.
At home Clo enjoys running, swimming, clay target shooting, military history and travelling around the world with her husband.
